Gavin Collier, VP of Supply Chain

As part of our efforts to streamline operations, reduce transportation costs, and prepare for future growth, we have decided to consolidate our two existing Ohio warehouses into a new state-of-the-art facility adjacent to our Middlefield manufacturing plant. The warehouse will feature a “narrow aisle” racking system with wire-guided turret trucks and stock pickers. There will be 20 dock doors for inbound/outbound freight, and product will flow from Madison Road through an enclosed connector structure. Included in the layout of the facility are office areas, restroom facilities, an employee lunchroom, and a space designed specifically as a waiting area for drivers as they are being loaded/unloaded

Construction of the building started back in October. To date, progress has been made on site grading, road construction, establishing and stabilizing the building pad, installation of stormwater retention ponds and underground sewer and utility systems. The building foundations were completed this week (2/10/25). Interior column pad installation is underway, and equipment has been delivered to support the next major milestone as construction goes vertical. Prefabricated walls will start arriving on site in the next two weeks (2/24/25). By the middle of March, perimeter walls should be up, and fabrication of the supporting steel structure and roof deck will be underway. Racking installation is targeted to start in early June, with final completion of the construction project planned for early September.

Once construction is completed there will be a ramp-up operationally spanning through March/April 2026. Plans for the operational ramp-up are being finalized, with the priority being to ensure a smooth transition from the existing facilities, which will have no impact on our customers. Further updates on construction status and plans will be provided along the way.
